Installation guide

Exact measurements, perfect result.

We produce wallpapers to the exact dimensions you provide when ordering. We recommend a 5 cm safety margin in both width and height — better to have excess than a shortfall.

Rule number one

Always add 5 cm.

Walls are rarely perfectly straight. A five centimetre safety margin on each side allows room for adjustment during installation and a clean cut at the end. Without this margin, one wrong move could ruin the entire installation.

Six types of walls

Find your scenario

Every wall is unique. Here's a guide for the six most common scenarios — from a standard wall to staircases.

All you need to do is measure the width and height of the entire wall. We always produce your wallpaper to the exact dimensions you provide when ordering, so we recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height. For advice on measuring different wall types, see the images below.

Standard Walls

Measure the width and height of the entire wall. Double-check your measurements. We always produce your wallpaper to the exact dimensions you provide when ordering, so we recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height.
Standard Walls

Sloped Walls

Measure the wall at its highest and widest points, ignoring any slopes. The wallpaper will be printed and delivered as a full rectangle or square, and the sloped part is cut during installation. We recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height.

Walls with multiple slopes

Measure the wall at its greatest width and greatest height. The wallpaper will be produced as a full rectangle or square, and the sloped part will be cut during installation. We recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height.

Walls with Doors, Windows, or Other Obstacles

Measure the width and height of the entire wall. Any obstacles will be trimmed during installation. We always produce your wallpaper to the exact dimensions you provide when ordering, so we recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height.

Multiple walls

Measure the width of each wall and combine those measurements into one when ordering. Add 5 cm per wall as a safety margin. Then measure the height. Always start from the highest point and add 5 cm to that measurement. You don’t need to order the wallpaper as two separate parts.

Staircases

As with other sloped walls, when measuring height find the highest and lowest points of the wall. The same applies to the width. All slanted sections will be trimmed during installation. We recommend adding 5 cm to both width and height.
